Royal Gin Fizz Mocktail
There is nothing more regal than a Royal Gin Fizz and The Drink Swap's non-alcoholic take on this classic cocktail is a classy affair.
Using a high quality, non-alcoholic London style gin alternative, we've crafted a beautiful crisp and citrusy mocktail suitable for royalty.
This mocktail is an adaptation of the classic gin fizz cocktail which uses gin, sugar syrup, soda water and lemon juice. The Royal version also adds foamy egg white to create a beautiful creamy foam finish to the drink.
The secret to our non-alcoholic version of the Royal Gin Fizz is to use a very good quality gin alternative, and you simply can't beat Lyre's Dry London Spirit. Lyre's Dry London Spirit has classic gin flavours of juniper and citrus with pepperberry for added warmth and a dry finish.
1/4 cup Lyre's Dry London Spirit (or other good quality non-alcoholic gin alternative)
2 tbsp simple sugar syrup (recipe here)
1/2 cup Henkell Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine (or other good quality non-alcoholic bubbly)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 egg white
Fresh lemon or cocktail candy to garnish
1. Place non-alcoholic gin, lemon juice, ice-cubes, sugar syrup and egg white in a shaker and shake vigorously until the ice-cubes stop clinking.
2. Strain into a tall tumbler or champagne glass.
3. Top with non-alcoholic sparkling wine and garnish with a fresh lemon wedge or cocktail candy.
There you have a beautiful non-alcoholic take on the Royal Gin Fizz, a mocktail fit for royalty.
Note: Vegans can substitute egg white for an aquafaba recipe here or just leave out the egg white for a classic gin fizz.
